# Shimmer

Shimmer is the network that supports the infrastructure for the Shimmer Ethereum Virtual Machine (ShimmerEVM) that the RRCC calls its home.

Shimmer has a native token also called Shimmer and written as SMR or $SMR.

To interact with the EVM and the RRCC you need to first get hold of $SMR token and send it to your wallet on the Shimmer EVM.
